Introducing… our new strategy and website

While the northern hemisphere may have been enjoying the summer holiday season over the last few weeks, the team at Slack Comms hasn’t taken it quite so easy. We’ve been beavering away on a new organisational strategy and a fab new website to accompany it.

With Becky splitting her time between the UK and France, we wanted to make sure that clients on both sides of the channel get the very best service for their needs.

So, what’s new?

You will still get access to a highly skilled team of creative talent, headed up Becky Slack. This team will be available to help you identify comms opportunities and to raise the profile of your work, just as it always has been in the past.

But – and this is a big but – instead of doing the shouting for you, we want to give you the skills and confidence to shout about yourself.

We will work with you to develop a communications strategy that will showcase and celebrate your organisation. But instead of us delivering this strategy for you, we want to share with you techniques, tools and training that will upskill your team and create more capacity across your organisation.

We will write a PR strategy in partnership with you, drawing on all our years of experience in the media. But instead of us being the people that pick up the phone to journalists, hogging all those crucial contacts to ourselves, we want to help you build long and fruitful relationships with the media directly.

We will help you identify the best stories about the brilliant work you do and services you offer. But instead writing blogs and case studies for you, we want to upskill your staff so that they can do it instead – because we know that stories are so much more powerful when they are told by the people who’ve lived them.

Our services include:
  • Communications audits: A review of your current communications against your goals so you can understand what’s working and what’s not, why and what to do about it.
  • Communications strategies: Useful, relevant and action-orientated strategies that combine years of experience with market foresight to give you the confidence and practical steps to achieve your comms goals.
  • Communications consultancy: Support, encouragement, confidence-building and the sharing of expertise gained from many years of working in the media and communications.
  • Communications training: Giving you and your team the skills and knowledge needed to deliver highly effective communications without having to rely on others.

If you get absolutely stuck and are so short on capacity that you really need some extra hands on deck, then we won’t abandon you. But we are definitely in favour of “teach a man to fish” as opposed to “give a man a fish” because we know that this will pay dividends for your organisation in the long-run.

You may also notice a few new faces, both in terms of our associates and the clients we work with – but more will be revealed on this front in due course.
