L’atelier des écrivains – The Writers’ Workshop, France

20 September, 2018 @ 5:00 pm - 24 September, 2018 @ 5:00 pm UTC

Have you always wanted to write a novel but never quite got round to it? If the answer is yes, why not join us at L’atelier des écrivains – The Writers’ Workshop, France

Learn how to craft words that will enchant and inspire on an immersive writing course in beautiful Aquitaine. Set against the backdrop of one of France’s prettiest villages, it will focus on the practical skills and techniques needed to support all types of fiction and creative writing. It’s designed specifically for people who have never written before so no prior experience is needed.

Those joining us on the writer’s retreat will wake up in an 18th century French manor house. You will start your day with a morning yoga session on the terrace, just as the sun is rising above the trees – or instead you could enjoy a quick dip in the heated outdoor swimming pool before tucking into a healthy breakfast.

You will then head to the panelled library where your creative writing workshop is about to begin. Led by the award-winning writer, Helen Cross, you will learn practical techniques to really develop and strengthen your writing skills.  You will use exercises relating to character creation and imaginative writing, discover ways of generating new material, and explore different genres and forms. Whether you have a fiction or non-fiction book in mind, Helen will help push your writing in new and original directions.

If this sounds like an experience you would enjoy, reserve your place now or contact Becky at becky@slackcommunications.co.uk – but be quick as we only have a small number of places left.

Special discounted price: just £547! Reduced from £729.
